Caring for your signs

In general most outdoor signs can be cleaned with warm soapy water. Use solvents only to remove stubborn stains but always avoid printed areas. If you’re not sure how best to look after your sign give us a call and we’ll be happy to advise.

Banners

Store rolled loosely around a tube with the design around the outside of the roll. Clean by hand with warm soapy water.

Magnetic Signs

When first supplied keep the signs in a warm atmosphere until ready to apply to your vehicle. Remove megnetics from the vehicle at least every week, clean vehicle and sign, dry both and replace signs.

Wheel Covers

Wash by hand with warm soapy water. Avoid using power-washers unless your wheel-cover is covered with a single printed item. Fine lettering may be disloged by forceful power-washers.

C-Signs

Wash by hand with warm soapy water. Don’t use solvents on any inked or printed area. If possible avoid siting your sign under trees or areas in which birds gather.

Engraved Signs

Clean by hand with warm soapy water, no solvent on any printed or coloued areas. Traditional brass signs will need polishing more regularly than other types of signs to maintain their impressive gleam.
